About Me

Brina Katz

Brina Katz

From as far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed writing. I excelled at English at school and spent a great deal of my childhood with either my nose in a book or a pen in my hand.

I had a couple of articles and poems published in small press magazines but it was not until the late 90’s that I started to write professionally.

For Women, an international, up-market magazine, featuring well-formulated erotic fiction for women, published two of my pieces. A story in the award-winning short-story collection, Herotica 7 shortly followed.

The early noughties found me writing non-fiction; short travel pieces for Living History Magazine and articles for Lancaster Today.

In 2006 I was awarded an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster University. My book, Gods I Have Known, was developed from my dissertation.

In the summer of 2013 I became a co-director of Magicka School; an on-line organisation, developed to provide trustworthy, occult and esoteric training, particularly in the subjects of Wicca, Paganism, Magick, Kabbalah and Alchemy. As part of that role, I took on the development and editorship of the School magazine, The Portal.

I live in the English Lake District with my husband, Marcus Katz, who is also an author. When not writing I enjoy exploring the beautiful landscape around my home.
